Sustainable Firewood suppliers

Scott collecting firewood on his property.
The wood sourced for firewood is exclusively: - fallen timber (an extremely small fraction of the total fallen wood around the property) - trees felled around house to reduce bushfire and general safety risk
Wood that has been cut is stored to ensure it is dry.
Wood is stored ready to go.

Currently Scott is unable to take on new customers at the moment. We will update when he is available.

Scott Green is a firewood supplier who is collecting firewood on his property in a sustainable manner. He hosted a firewood training course on his property in late 2020, completing the free Z-NET training on sustainable collection.

Damien and his father collect their wood from one property in the shire. Last year the landholder completed a biodiversity study with ZNET and in the process learnt how to assess how much wood can be removed from an area. He says they only cut the wood from the middle of the fallen tree and leave the butts and the ends on the ground. This ensures some cover for flora and fauna and any regrowth from the end. You can contact Damien on 0421797791.

Shane was the first firewood supplier who has completed the free Z-NET training on sustainable collection and is collecting wood from land managed for enhanced biodiversity.

Shane Swilks can be contacted on 0422 676 299 to order sustainable firewood.

Z-NET Uralla encourages other firewood collectors to contact us to do the training. It is free and takes about 2 hours out in the paddock where wood is being collected.
