Summer Surplus? Lets Get Preserving! Come and make tomato passata, delicious pickles and preserve summer fruits using the Vacola method.
Learn to preserve surplus produce to share with others or enjoy later in the year, all while reducing waste, cost and transport emissions. All levels of experience welcome at this free workshop, which will focus on the Vacola method of preserving. Great preparation for the upcoming Uralla Show!
WHEN: Saturday 21 January, 10am – 2pm (lunch is provided)
WHERE: Uralla Neighbourhood Centre, Salisbury St (next to McCrossins Mill)
WHAT WILL BE COVERED:
– Passata/pasta sauce
– Drying tomatoes and fruit
– Fruit preservation
– Pickles
BRING: Optional – apron, knife, herbs from garden for passata. Jars will be provided
